Short-term study abroad in the countryside
Seiyo City, located in the southern part of Ehime Prefecture, is a city interwoven with the natural beauty of the sea, countryside, and mountains, ranging from 0 meters above sea level to 1,400 meters above sea level.
We have just started a relocation experience program in Yusukawa, Shirokawa Town, located in the mountain area, utilizing the out-of-area school attendance system!
The purpose is for children to learn in a way that is unique to a rural school, and for adults to experience the "Yusukawa time" that is unique to the countryside.
Why not come to Oku-Iyo Shirokawa to find the opportunity to discover your own well-being, such as a purpose in life and meaning in life, and happiness for the future?
The family will live in the Yuzugawa area, and their children will attend Shirokawa Elementary School and Shirokawa Junior High School as out-of-area students, giving them the experience of a rural school.
Adults can use their time however they like, either working remotely in the quiet environment of the guesthouse or interacting with others through a wide range of experiences on the Yuzu River.
*Out-of-area school attendance is a system that allows you to attend a school outside the designated area without moving your residence registration. Even during the out-of-area school attendance period, your child will be counted as attending school.
Target Audience
Elementary and junior high school students and their guardians (elementary and junior high school students alone cannot be accepted).
Implementation period
September 1, 2020 - December 25, 2020
* Approximately 2 weeks per family during the project period
About use
・Your child will attend Shirokawa Elementary School or Shirokawa Junior High School.
・Student children will be transported to and from school on Seiyo City school buses together with other students.
・Textbooks will be provided by the school, and the school office will contact you regarding any other necessary items.
Place of living (accommodation)
During the trial period of this program, you will be living at our facility, "Yuzugawa Guesthouse Kokkoron."
cost
The following items will be borne by the customer:
1. Accommodation fee at "Yuzugawa Guesthouse Kokkoron"
2. Transportation costs and personal expenses between your home and "Yuzugawa Guesthouse Kokkoron"
3. Living expenses in the country
4. School lunch fee (elementary school students: 260 yen/meal, junior high school students: 290 yen/meal)
5. Expenses required for school activities
*There is an additional fee for the experience programs at Yuzu River.
Meals are not provided at the guesthouse.
*If your school is not enrolled in the Japan Sport Council Disaster Mutual Aid Benefit Scheme, we recommend that you enroll.
*This program allows you to use the "Seiyo City Trial Migration Experience Subsidy" provided by the Seiyo City Migration and Settlement Exchange Center. For more information, please contact the Seiyo City Migration and Settlement Exchange Center .
